Opening hours and location

Cirque Plus takes place from July 25 to 27, 2025, in the garden of the Grootseminarie, in the heart of Bruges. The entrance to the festival is located on Peterseliestraat (near Leestenburg). The festival grounds open at 1:00 PM. The first performances begin at 2:00 PM. The site closes at 12:30 AM.

Performances take place at various locations across the festival grounds. Some are on the meadow of the Grootseminarie, while others are at unique spots in and around the site. You can find an overview of the different stages and performances here.

Accessibility

We ask that you come by bike or on foot as much as possible. Do you live too far? Then we recommend public transportation.

By bicycle

There is a large bicycle parking lot at the entrance of the Grand Seminary. Please do not park bikes in Peterseliestraat out of respect for our dear neighbors and the old walls.

If you are not from Bruges, but still like to come by bike, you can rent a Blue-bike. From anywhere in the city center, you can also take a bicycle taxi to the Cirque Plus festival site.

By bus

You can reach the Grootseminarie via line 2 (stop Sabbestraat, stop Gistfabriek), via line 6 (stop Komvest), or via line 1 (stop Brugge Kruispoort). From either stop it is about a 15-minute walk to the Grootseminarie.

Buses run normally until 11 p.m. On Friday and Saturday nights, evening lines run until 3:00. These buses no longer change numbers for the evening lines. So lines 2 and 6 will keep the same number until the end of their service.

Or plan your own route via De Lijn's routeplanner.

By train

Plan your trip via the NMBS routeplanner to Bruges station. From the station, you can get to the Cirque Plus site on foot, by bike/bicycle taxi, or by bus.

By car

The number of parking spots in Peterseliestraat is very limited and we like to be considerate of our neighbors. Therefore, we strongly advise against coming by car. As always, residents can park for free in the neighborhood with a digital parking permit. For visitors, paid parking applies, as everywhere else in the downtown area. Free parking is available at the P&R on Boogschutterslaan and the Randparking Lodewijk Coiseaukaai.

Parking spaces for people with disabilities (provided they have a valid parking ticket) can be found in the Peterseliestraat. Right next to the entrance there are 6 spaces and 2 spaces at house numbers 5 and 100. All information about reserved parking spaces for people with disabilities can be found here.

Performances and tickets

Free, reserved performances

Cirque Plus is (mostly) a free festival. Some performances require advance (free) reservations due to limited capacity or because the content may be less suitable for children. This is indicated for each performance on the website or in the schedule.

Please make sure to arrive on time for your reserved performance. Tickets that are not claimed will be released five minutes before the show begins. People on the waiting list will be admitted first.

Paid performance

This year there is one paid performance: MDR by Compagnie Los Galindos. Tickets cost €12. For youth under 26 years old, the price is only €8.

Sales points

Tickets can be purchased via this link or at the In&Uit info desk (’t Zand 34, 8000 Bruges). During the festival, tickets are also available at the Cirque Plus info stand (from 1:00 PM), as long as supplies last.

You can check on this webpage which performances are already sold out or fully booked.

Bad weather

Performances will only be canceled in consultation with the artists. Some performances may be delayed, usually shortly before the scheduled start time. Only in the event of expected extreme weather will early cancellations be made. Updates will be posted on our social media and on the website. Any changes or cancellations will also be displayed at the info stand.

Food and drinks

The bar is open from 1 p.m. and closes at midnight. The food stands close around 21:30.

Cirque Plus has a cozy bar and several food stands, all at democratic prices. Feel free to bring your own drinking bottle(s) and fill them at the festival with free fresh and drinkable tap water at the bar.

Payment at the bar and food stands will be completely cashless from this year on. From now on you will no longer have to go to the ticket booths, but you can pay electronically directly at each bar or food stand with your own bank card, phone or credit card. If you still wish to pay in cash, you can pick up a rechargeable cash card at the central cash registers, on which these funds will be placed.

Accessibility and comfort

Toilets

  • Free toilets are available on-site
  • There is an accessible toilet for wheelchair users

  • A baby changing and breastfeeding area is also provided

Wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility

We strive to make the grounds and venues as accessible as possible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Grass mats are laid down and the lawn is mowed short. However, the terrain may still be uneven or muddy in wet conditions.

Need help on-site? Visit the info stand or speak to a staff member.

For performances that require tickets, wheelchair spaces can be reserved by emailing info@inenuit.be, calling +32 (0) 78 15 20 20 (weekdays 10 AM – 5 PM), or visiting the In&Uit desk in Bruges (’t Zand 34, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM).

Language and auditory elements

Did you know that circus performances often do not involve spoken language, and that music is usually not essential? This makes them very accessible for people with hearing impairments, newcomers to the language, or people who are less verbal. Performances where language plays an important role are marked with an icon in the program. A list of performances suited for people with hearing impairments is also included in the venue guide.

Sustainability and waste

Cirque Plus is committed to minimizing waste and promoting reuse. All cups, bottles, plates, and cutlery are collected and reused. These items represent a major investment—please don’t throw them in the trash or take them home! Sort them at the waste stations located throughout the festival grounds. We don’t ask for a deposit, but we do ask for your cooperation!
