Starting circus artists with (semi-)professional ambitions often do not yet have a finished, long performance but a short act (number) that highlights their talent.
Cirque Numerique is a low-threshold formula whereby this up-and-coming talent gets the chance to perform a short circus number at the festival. Through an open call in spring, candidates can apply for the festival.
During the festival, acts are judged by a professional jury. We offer the best act the chance to join the Uitwijken circus tour the following year.
With acts from
- Mili Gobbi - La Fille au Cœur Brisé: A clownish solo that combines contortion and raw emotion. Between love and lovelessness, a naive and touching figure explores the quest for self-love with humour and tenderness. A gentle, offbeat feminist scream.
- Alonso - ARMONIA: A journey in which circus, dance and humour come together. An eccentric character, a tightrope walker of his own emotions, tries to tame the chaos of everyday life. But balance eludes him, leading him to an unpredictable waltz with the audience, where every awkwardness becomes poetry.
- La nams - Grassa: An act where technique, theatre and comedy merge, where the balance lies not only in the hands, but between two opposing personalities: the disciplined acrobat and the sassy diva. The result: a show that will leave you laughing, amazed and applauding in equal measure.
- Sous les vêtements - ShuHuan Chang: A woman steps onto the stage, her smile tinged with awkwardness, her outfit somewhat revealing. No one knows who she is - maybe she is just a cleaning lady with a passion for performing?
- Déjame Peinarte - Au Creux du Ventre: A performance of two women's bodies, not in terms of gender, but of the strong, dense warmth of these breasted bodies. They are sisters by blood or heart, we are not sure how they are connected, but we can see the tension that holds them together. A tension that expresses the need for the other's body.
- Wat heb jij daar nou? - Lotte & Sharoma (Buitengewoon): Everyone deserves to pursue their dreams, take to the stage and be amazed by what is possible when you dare to discover yourself. Circus performers and people with intellectual disabilities, creating a performance together. That is 'Buitengewoon'. One of the four duos proudly presents their act at Cirque Plus: Sharoma and Lotte.
